How to get your export.zip from Apple Health

1) Export your Health data on iPhone

  1. Open the Health app on your iPhone (the one paired with your Apple Watch).
  2. Tap your profile picture (top-right).
  3. Scroll down and tap Export All Health Data (or Export).
  4. Choose a location in the Files app (e.g. iCloud Drive) or AirDrop it to your Mac/PC.
  5. Make sure your device language is set to German or English, and that your device has the latest update installed.
  6. Wait until the export finishes. You’ll get a ZIP file, usually named export.zip.

2) Ensure EKG data is included (optional)

  • If you want to import EKG data, make sure the export.zip contains the EKG.csv files. These are usually inside the extracted folder under Apple\Health\ECG or similar.

3) Upload to MyHealth Export

  1. Return to this page and click Choose File.
  2. Select the export.zip file (the whole ZIP, not individual XML or CSV files).
  3. Click Start import and keep the page open until the progress bar reaches 100%.

Tips & Troubleshooting

  • The export can be large; ensure you have enough free storage and keep your iPhone unlocked during export.
  • Make sure the ZIP includes export.xml and, if needed, EKG.csv files.
  • If the progress seems stuck, check your internet connection and try again.
